Take orders on your own site, without the marketplace commission
A direct-ordering website for restaurants, takeaways and food businesses in Ireland. Your menu, your payments, your customer list, installed on the customer’s phone like an app.
- No long-term contracts
- 24-hour response
- Free consultation
Who this is for
Direct ordering makes sense once you have regulars. If a share of your orders already comes from people who know you, every one of those orders placed on your own site keeps the commission marketplaces charge in your till and gives you the customer’s details for next time.
- Pizzerias, takeaways and restaurants in Dublin and across Ireland that already take orders through Deliveroo, Just Eat or Uber Eats.
- Cafés, bakeries and farm shops that want pre-orders for collection without phone calls.
- Food businesses at markets, farms or events that want a menu and ordering that work on a phone.
- Owners who want to know who their customers are, not just how many orders came in.
Everything in the fixed fee
If it is not on this list, we say so before you sign, not after.
Menu and ordering
Your full menu with options, extras and allergens, built so a regular can reorder in under a minute from a phone.
Payments
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe or a similar provider, settled to your bank account, with the receipt emailed automatically.
Collection and delivery slots
Opening hours, prep times, collection slots and delivery zones you control, so the kitchen never gets an order it cannot make.
Order notifications
New orders arrive by email, SMS or a tablet in the kitchen, with a sound, and can be accepted or adjusted with one tap.
Install like an app
Built as a progressive web app, so a customer can add it to their home screen from the browser. No app store, no update cycle.
Customer list and offers
Every order builds your own customer list, which you can use for a loyalty offer or a message on a quiet Tuesday.
Ready to be found
Local SEO and a Google Business Profile link, so “order online” on your map listing goes to your site, not a marketplace.
How the project runs
Discovery
We look at your menu, your current order volume by channel and how the kitchen works on a busy night. We map the ordering flow on paper first.
Strategy
You get a fixed quote, the menu structure, the payment and delivery setup, and a plan for moving regulars from the marketplaces to your site.
Execution
We build the ordering site on staging, load the menu, test real orders end to end with your kitchen, and train the team before launch.
Optimisation
For the first month we watch where orders drop off and fix it. After that, a care plan keeps the menu, prices and software up to date.
The proof: Pesto Kitchen
Pesto Kitchen stone-bakes Neapolitan pizza at Elmgrove Farm in Gormanston, Co. Meath. Their site takes direct orders as a progressive web app: a customer opens it once, adds it to their home screen, and orders from it like an app without ever visiting an app store. Every order goes straight to the kitchen and the money goes straight to Pesto Kitchen’s account. It is the clearest example of what this service builds, and the case study has the full story.
It sits beside the marketplaces, it does not replace them on day one
Deliveroo and Just Eat bring you customers who have never heard of you. That is worth paying for. What is not worth paying for is the commission on an order from a regular who would have ordered from you anyway. A direct-ordering site is for those orders.
So we do not ask you to leave the marketplaces. We give you a site, a QR code on every box and bag, an “order direct and save” line on the menu, and a reason for regulars to switch, such as a small discount or a loyalty stamp. The marketplaces keep doing acquisition. Your site does retention, and keeps the margin. How much that margin is worth to you depends on your order mix; the food, hospitality and retail page walks through the maths, and our guide on taking orders online without marketplace fees goes deeper.
- Your customers’ names, phone numbers and order history belong to you.
- You set the delivery zone, the minimum order and the prep time, not an algorithm.
- A menu change goes live in minutes without a support ticket.
- Marketplace fees on direct orders drop to the card-processing fee alone.
What it costs and what happens after launch
The direct-ordering website is a fixed fee from €3,500, excluding VAT, and takes four to eight weeks depending on the size of the menu. Payment processing fees are charged by the payment provider at their published rates and are not marked up by us. Ongoing costs are hosting and a care plan, both on the pricing page.
After launch, the work is getting regulars to use it. We give you the launch kit: box stickers, a counter card, a message for your socials and a Google Business Profile update. If you want us to run that push and the local SEO behind it, the Growth Partner retainer covers it. If you would rather do it yourself, the plan is yours to keep.

Questions about online ordering
How is this different from Deliveroo or Just Eat?
The marketplaces list you alongside every competitor, own the customer relationship and charge a commission on each order. Your own ordering site lists only you, keeps the customer’s details for you and charges no commission beyond card processing. Most of our clients keep both: marketplaces for new customers, the direct site for regulars.
Do my customers have to download an app?
No. The site is a progressive web app, which means it works in any browser and can be added to the phone’s home screen with an icon, where it opens and feels like an app. There is no app store listing to maintain and no update your customers have to install.
How do orders reach the kitchen?
Whichever way suits your service: email, SMS, a printed ticket, or a tablet on the pass with a sound alert and accept and adjust buttons. We test it with your team during a real service before launch so nobody finds out on a Friday night that the notification was on silent.
Can it handle delivery as well as collection?
Yes. You set delivery zones by postcode or distance, a minimum order, a delivery fee and the time slots you offer. If you use your own drivers it works as is. If you want a third-party courier, we can connect one, though it is worth starting with collection to prove demand first.
What happens if the site goes down during service?
The site runs on managed hosting with a content delivery network in front of it and daily backups, and a care plan includes monitoring that alerts us before you notice. Payment and order records are held by the payment provider as well as your site, so an outage never loses an order that has been paid for.
